Dave Smith
Dave was born in Sherbourne Dorset, he moved as a child to Long Eaton (Nottingham) where he was raised until he joined the Territorial Army in 1971 and later transferred to the Regular Army and served in The Royal Corps of Signals for a total of 22 years from 1972 untill he left in1994.
Dave trained as a Driving Instructor in 1992, whilst he was living in York and still serving in the Army.
He moved to Ardrossan in 1993 where he set up his own successful independant Driving School and is the sole owner of the business.
Dave has a daughter (Debbie) and a son (Gary) not shown and two Grand daughters Jamie (10) and Jade (8) Seen below, and a grandson (Josh) who is now aged (2) and they all live in the Midlands.
His main hobby is watching football (Derby County)

and (Kilmarnock) and he is a full time England supporter and travels to most home and away games. His most recent trips have taken him to Denmark, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Chicago, New york and Switzerland.

Dave also has a partner ( Marion ) along with her Yorkie called (Holly) but Dave,s main companions at home used to be his German Shepherd dog (Sheba) and cat (Malky).

Dave used to be the Secretary, Treasurer and Webmaster of The Herforder Assocoiation which was formed in 2001 by himself and Jim Sloan. but h has now resigned his posts. The association is mainly for ex soldiers who served in various units in Herford Germany and they hold two reunions per year in either Scotland, England or Wales.
